⚠️ PRECOURSE WORK IS REQUIRED BEFORE CLASS

Precourse work is mandatory and included in the cost of the class.

The American Heart Association (AHA) requires all students to:

Complete the PALS Precourse Self-Assessment

1. Complete the Precourse Work modules

2. Achieve a minimum score of 70%

3. Print the completion certificate/score report

4. Bring both documents to class

Failure to complete and provide proof of precourse work will require rescheduling.


Audience

The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course is designed for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies involving infants and children.

This includes:

  • Emergency response personnel

  • Emergency and critical care staff

  • Physicians

  • Nurses

  • Paramedics

  • Respiratory Therapists

  • Healthcare professionals who require a PALS completion card for employment or credentialing


Course Content / Modules

  • 1- and 2-rescuer child CPR and AED use

  • 1- and 2-rescuer infant CPR

  • Cardiac, respiratory, and shock case discussions and simulations

  • Key updates based on the 2025 AHA Guidelines for CPR & ECC

  • Management of pediatric respiratory emergencies

  • Resuscitation team concepts

  • Rhythm disturbances and electrical therapy

  • Systematic approach to pediatric assessment

  • Vascular access


Course Completion Card

Upon successful completion, students will receive an AHA PALS Course Completion Card, valid for 2 years.
