Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider Course (2025)
*Pre-Course Requirement (Included in Course Fee)*
All students are required to complete mandatory pre-course work prior to attending class. Access instructions will be provided after registration. If you do not already have an account with the AHA eLearning system, you will need to create one to complete the pre-course materials.
Completion of the pre-course work is required to participate in the in-person skills session.
Course Description
The American Heart Association ACLS Provider Course builds on foundational BLS skills and emphasizes high-performance team dynamics, effective communication, and systems of care.
Students will learn to recognize and manage:
~ Cardiopulmonary arrest
~ Immediate post–cardiac arrest care
~ Acute dysrhythmias
~ StrokeAcute Coronary Syndromes (ACS)
Course Content / Modules
- High-quality BLS skills, including effective chest compressions
- Use of a bag-mask device and AED
- Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
- Recognition and management of peri-arrest conditions (e.g., symptomatic bradycardia)
- Airway management
- ACLS pharmacology
- Management of ACS and stroke
- Effective communication as a team member and team leader during resuscitation
Course Audience
ACLS is designed for healthcare professionals who direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes:

Course Materials
Students will receive access to the ACLS Provider Manual, which includes the ACLS Pocket Reference Card Set (Item #20-1109).
Course Completion
Upon successful completion, students will receive an official American Heart Association ACLS Provider eCard, valid for 2 years.
Continuing Education
This course is approved for 3 hours of Continuing Education (CE).
