This web-based, self-paced course is designed for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies involving infants and children and prefer a flexible, non-classroom option for certification.

This includes:

• Physicians

• Nurses

• Paramedics

• Respiratory Therapists

• Emergency and critical care personnel

• Healthcare professionals who require a PALS completion card for employment or credentialing

Course Overview / Modules

HeartCode PALS uses a personalized adaptive learning algorithm that guides students along the most efficient path to mastery.

The online portion includes:

• Self-directed learning modules

• Interactive probes

• Cognitive Assessment Activities

• Personalized feedback based on performance and confidence levels

• Choice of pre-hospital or in-hospital learning tracks

After completing the online portion, students must attend a structured Instructor-led skills session, which includes:

• Hands-on skills practice

• Team-based scenarios

• Debriefing

• Review of local protocols

• Skills testing and validation

Both components must be successfully completed to receive certification.

Course Completion Card

Upon successful completion of the online portion and skills session, students will receive an AHA PALS Course Completion Card, valid for 2 years.
